OVERTHINKER SERIES

PUBLICATION 1, CHAPTER 1

WELCOME TO THE NEW SERIES IN THIS SPACE.

I will be posting more this time around, though it will be once a week. I want to use this space to connect more deeply with my community and to help and inspire others to be more creative and more expressive regardless of who is watching or what people say. We do not promote unruly behavior but we encourage everyone to be themselves, free from negative and overwhelming thoughts.

Though life exists in uncertainty and with the rising levels of AI, our access to information has tripled, and now more than ever, we live in a very distracted world. It is not our fault and the only thing we can do now is to make the most out of it and adapt to the new reality. This brings me to the first thing I want to say for this chapter 1.

YOU ARE ENOUGH

Even when I do nothing that matters, because I exist, I matter – Chijindu

You heard me right, you are not limited to your achievements, and neither are you bound to what society thinks. Even if you don’t have it figured out, it is better to understand that even if you do nothing, you are enough. Rather than becoming a standard and living in a bubble because you are scared, it is time to live, explore, experience, and live life in a way that brings out the most of you. This is why I said, you are enough. The only thing that remains constant is change and the ability to keep learning. This brings me to say that you should never stop learning.

From the name of the series, you might think that Overthinking is bad. It actually is and needs to be kept under control because there is no cure for it. It can be managed with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy but it has its superpowers. For me, it allows me to see things past their surface level. Instead of settling because this is what everyone is doing and this is what society believes, I challenge it in my head and wonder what the scenario would be if things were different if people thought differently if people believed differently.

I named this series Overthinking Series because I wanted to introduce others to the fact that though overwhelming, it has its superpowers too. Sometimes, it deprives me of normal moments because I am already going deep into a matter that seems to only exist at the surface level, but to me, nothing ever only exists at the surface level, there is always something deeper, a history and a progression.

Back to base, this is why I say You are enough. This is because if you really think about it, what makes you not to be enough, and what makes others to be enough. What if those whom you considered enough are not really enough and instead see you as enough but you do not know. So, in reality, who is enough and who is not? See, I guess we’ll never know. This means one thing and one thing only. YOU ARE ENOUGH. I think we can come to a consensus now. So, the next time you feel the urge to compare, contrast, limit, pressure, and pin yourself.

Remember, You are enough and that is saying something.
