PERFECT DECISIONS DO NOT EXIST

Written by:

I locked my hair forever as a young person.

Deciding to lock my hair forever at this age, on the 16th of February, was a very strategic decision for me. I remember my mum asking if that was what I really wanted to do because I would not be able to unlock it if I changed my mind.

I replied affirmatively because I had already made up my mind, and if the future me were to have a change of mind, then she should know that the past me was not afraid to make the decision.

Most times, we fear making decisions because we feel that in the future, if we change our minds, we would not be able to come out of it, like me locking my hair forever. But the truth about decision-making is that it is rarely about what happens if we change our minds, but it is about understanding the fact that there is no perfect decision.

The most important thing to note here is to make decisions that are strategic and essential to your growth and learn to live with the consequences instead of being afraid that you would change your mind and hesitating.
